to ferry passengers and cargo between Yawatahama Port in Ehime (Shikoku) and Usuki Port in Oita (Kyushu).

Due to weather and sea conditions the ferry may be delayed or cancelled.
Before departure please confirm the schedule and make sure to complete boarding procedures and paperwork 20 minutes before the departure time.

The Ticket Counter at each port is open daily one hour prior to the vessel departure times.
Have ticketing and boarding-related procedures completed 20 minutes prior to departure time.
The Ticket Counter accepts payments by cash or credit card, but not cashless payments.

Important Information

  • Reservations may be made by phone or online 2 months in advance of the planned departure date. For groups, 1 year in
  • advance. (eg. For a departure date of July 1, a reservation may be made on May 1.)
  • Reservations must be made at least 4 hours prior to departure times online and at least 1hour 30minutes prior to departure times by phone.
  • Reservations may not be changed or canceled after the reserved vessel’s departure.
  • The Ticket Counter accepts payments by cash or credit card, but not cashless payments.

Cancellations

  • A fee of ¥200 (per person per vessel) applies for cancellations up to 1 week in advance of the departure date.
  • A fee of 10% of the reservation amount applies for cancellations made up to 2 days in advance of the departure date.
  • A fee of 30% of the reservation amount applies for other cancellations made in advance of vessel’s departure.
  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations made after the reserved vessel’s departure.
  • The first reservation change is free of charge; a fee of ¥200 per reservation applies for any changes thereafter.

Checked Baggage (Personal Baggage)
Personal baggage that you will not need while onboard, may be transported to and stored in the ferry hold if arranged in advance.
Unaccompanied baggage costs vary on the baggage weight. Be sure to arrange to have the baggage collected at the destination port.
The sum of all three dimensions for checked baggage must be 200cm or less, and maximum weight is 30kg.
Please inform staff at the Terminal Ticket Counter when purchasing departure tickets and leave the checked baggage with them.
Baggage can be retrieved at the port of arrival Terminal Ticket Counter.

We recommend making a reservation in advance before using our ferries.
Customers without reservations may not be permitted to board in some cases.
Reservation Center business hours are from 9:00~17:30 seven days a week.

Advance Reservations

Reservations may be made starting 2 months in advance on the same calendar date as the planned departure date. Please contact the reservation center by phone to make a reservation. Or make an online reservation.

Reservations must be made at least 4 hours prior to departure times online and at least 1hour 30minutes prior to departure times by phone.
As our staff’s English-speaking ability is limited, rather than telephone reservations, we recommend you make online reservations.
For discounts, boarding with a pet or vehicle and for pregnant passengers please inform the staff when making the reservations.

Online reservations must be made by 4 hours prior to vessel departure times from the homepage and are in Japanese only,
so we recommend you get assistance from a Japanese native for online reservations.

Please show your RESERVATION NUMBER/DETAILS at the Terminal TICKET COUNTER and pay for your tickets before boarding the ferry. The Terminal Ticket Counter is open one hour prior to the vessel departure times.
You CAN pay by CASH or CREDIT CARD at the TERMINAL TICKET COUNTER.
You CANNOT use CREDIT CARDs while ONBOARD the ferry. CASHLESS PAYMENTS are not accepted.

TICKETING AND BOARDING

Go to the Ferry Terminal Ticket Counter at your port of departure. The Counter is open one hour prior to departure times.
Boarding starts 20 minutes prior to departure.

Purchase tickets (for those with reservations please show your reservation number and then pay for your tickets).

○ 1. We advise arriving at the port Terminal about 30 minutes or more prior to departure time.
○ 2. It is required that you fill in a BOARDING LIST. (for those with reservations please fill your reservation number in the LIST.)
We recommend you print out and fill in the BOARDING LIST before coming to the Terminal for smooth boarding.
○ 3. Bring the filled in BOARDING LIST to the Ticket Counter and then purchase tickets.→ When bringing a vehicle onboard (as per reservations) please show your Vehicle Inspection Certificate.

BOARDING LIST

- passengers boarding on foot (without an automobile) must take their own luggage onboard by hand and board from the Terminal.
- passengers boarding with a vehicle(automobile, motorcycle, bicycle), please following the procedures below.

BOARDING WITH A VEHICLE

Vehicle Boarding begins an hour before departure after Ticketing and Boarding paperwork/payment is complete.

Automobile - follow staff instructions and drive your car into the Pre-Boarding Automobile Waiting Area, then follow further staff instructions as per how to board. Boarding begins 1 hour before departure after Ticketing and Boarding paperwork/ payment is complete.
Onboard make sure that your hand-break is secure, and to take necessary baggage with you into the passenger area. You will not be permitted to return to your car until arrival at destination.

Motorcycles or Bicycles - follow staff instructions and drive your two wheeler into the Pre-Boarding Two-Wheeler Waiting Area, then follow further staff instructions as per how to board.

DISEMBARKING

Before arriving at destination ports there will be announcements onboard, so please get ready to disembark and then do so as instructed.
For passengers with Vehicles, please standby and follow staff instructions about when it is safe to return to your vehicle, and drive your vehicle off the ferry slowly and with caution
